Counting Crows - on from 7.30 - 8.30 was boring over performed drivel - ok for 2 songs - rest were soporific.

did the long haul bus thing to go see the concert have to agree with ya they still have it.

got sick of the crows specially when he kept going on that slow piano song (must've been the emo portion of the night)

Went for warrent today ............FAIL!!!!


got pinged on Spotlights not hooked up .....yeah i know they where on there for wank value only

missmatched front calipers!! the left one is off a 87 Paj the right one a 88 model .. the sliding rails are slightly different! failed it even tho the brake bias was 210/205 (Pass)

so now have to either match one or the other from a wrecker and rekit it or spend about $200 getting the original one rebuilt with a new piston and seal kit.

give the WOF boys one thing they picked up where the tinkling rattle at idle was coming from ... the bottom nut holding the altinator had offsodded, causing the altinator to move all over the place.

thats what i thought, talked to the local brake reconditioners, they thought it was cra*cough*p, so went back and got them to clarify the regs for me, was told that because it was "modified" and not a factory caliper it needed either a low volume cert or a letter from mitsubishi stating that both types of calipers are fitted to Pajeros and that the pad and pistion size are identical ..... and thats just not worth the frigging hassle.

Spare parts, one of my first 40 series with warn hubs had them but none of my other cruisers have had them in?

When fitting the circlip on the end with the hub on, the shaft has enough travel to go in too far to get the clip on, so you put the clip aside and work the shaft back out and as you try to put the clip on again it goes back in. But if you thread a bolt in the end of the shaft you can pull it out as you put the clip on. Makes life a lot easier!

That's what I used it for any way!

Got the engine back into Mud blood after repairing the flex plate i damaged on its first real run.

After the Nor west last weekend I am now thinking I need to put a front clip back on to make it meet club class rules. (If any one has a spare sj410/3 front clip give me a buzz)

The bolt in the end of the Longfeild can be used to hold part of the free wheeling hub in on some models. (my lux axle has them.)
