dont the surfs have that aswell, pretty sure my last surf, a 130 v6 auto, had a A?T light.... i think

mine goes... its just not 4wd yet... but i can drive it. i have even...

could it be a auto trans function of some sort?

could be auto trans fault. After i took my surf for a swim, water in up to dash, submerged trans, that A/T light stayed on after that

On my Pajero I have an A/T switch which has 3 modes ,a power mode, auto mode which switchs between power and ecconomy and a hold mode which stops your transmission from changing up to a higher gear than the one you have selected.Never paid much attention to it i leave it in auto. :D

Yep that's exactly right, had one on the mitsi daiamante when I had one. Used it heaps.

Isn't that the switch for those fancy convertible tyres, that you can switch from MTs to ATs to HTs?
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

yeah thats the one..... I bought a base model Mitsi though ..... My tyres only convert from M/T's to slicks :lol: :lol:

Depending on the challenger it will either be HOLD wich wont let the gerabox go below second even on start off or it will be hold and power
