Just about to order tri-link long arms

Hi

Not sure how many of you guys are running long arms? Am about to embark upon the upgrade from RE to my short arms. It includes everything pretty much to upgrade my RE shorty to the tri-ling Extreme Duty rig.

Only concern will be unwanted attention from the "old bill" is already an issue and if I get defected I will be rooted as the CA mounts will be ground off....

Who is running them and what are your thoughts?

never even looked at em for mine. One of the guys in the club has a long arm setup (along with a supercharger!!) and seems to enjoy the travel.

I don't have any experience with long arms personally, but if you do decide to go that way can I get your short arms (if they are not factory)????? Of course there will be some exchange of plastic to come to an agreement.

my old mans got them in his tj and one problem with them is that you get cort up on more things

Ok - spoke to a few Jeep specialists in Brisbane and seems I have no chance of getting them engineered.

Idea shelved, can't afford to risk having an accident and getting sued because my insurance doesn't cover me.....

Back on the T/case upgrade path - Atlas or STaK Monster Box.....

Was quoted $4100 AUD including all Extreme Duty Rubicon arms......plus two days labour

yeah... tried that one on, shes having none of it...... i knew i should have had something about "and you wiil provide avenue for supplying Jeep parts" in the marriage vows 10 years ago......

if i was you i wouldent do the t-cas i no two people that have done it and they only lasted for four runs before they smashed to pieces aparently you can only use 1st and 2nd and most the time they where in 3rd and 4th

What a load of rubbish - they are two of the toughest mods you can buy....used by just about every comp rock crawler in the US and Australia.......

The axels would explode before the Atlas and Stak........not to mention the stock TC

Here's what Pirate 4x4 say about them but what would they know.....ahhh....if life were only that simple. If it were just a case of wanting the best...then everybody would just run an Atlas, the famed low-range, twin-stick, all gear, super-strong, yet light and short transfer case from Advance Adapters. Sure, some would run over or under-drives before it, some would use "doublers", but I don't think there is any argument that the single best 4x4 transfer case available is the Atlas.

gotta back DAJEEP up here guys.

I know one of the guys hes talking about, and the case was only supposed to be operated in lo 1 and 2.... noone told him this and he drove it in 3 and 4 lo, and it did indeed shit itself. Now i cant recall the brand of the case, but the owner went back to stock after that. Nothing wrong with the case persey, he used it (unwittingly) in a manner in which it wasnt supposed to be used, but also had no safeguards to stop anyone using it "incorrectly".

Not necessarily Atlas guys, cant recall the brand as already stated, (and DAJEEP never stated a brand) but it did indeed happen.
