Met Jase and 3 others heading back to CHCH about 3.30pm on the straight before Reefton. Talked to Jase for a couple of minutes ,Sounds like they enjoyed the weekend Nuts . Liked Tailings and Bennetts , Didn't say he blew a diff.

Sounds like you may have to get Skilly to do a bit of welding to the Whale. I told you to get in with Bob for the weekend.

Cheers Richard

A bloody good weekend, My family and I had a great weekend and I got to put a few faces to the names. Thanks to Nuts for leading us around (I think), Bob for taking over the organizing and PR for starting the whole thing.
On the way out of Bennets Farm, Nuts recommended we washed the trucks off in the ford. I did and now I am back home but the Defender is still in Westport at Nuts place, managed to suck a wee bit of water through the air filter which the engine management system didn't like and shut down motor. Sh*t happens, now just need to get it sorted.
I hope to be back next year. If I do, the truck will have a snorkel and I might have even put my winch in (still thinking about it) but don't know about lifting it - everyone seemed to enjoy getting me unstuck.
Cheers,
Gerald.

The trip home was another adventure on its own, my zuk broken at Tailings, on trailer
Jases truck with a broken pinion in the rear, making it the first fwd cruiser.
Then to add some excitment Riks beast decided to stop 20kms from Hamner,
after trying to fix, some electrical problem ,we decided to tow it,
with the fwd crusier not a very fast trip[ home, OOHH forgot to mention
Jases truck also blew a turbo hose so it would not built up pressure.3b non turbo what a rocket

all in all a great weekend, expected nothing less from Nuts and his crew.
thanks Nuts every one had a great time and appricate all that you have done.
hope to see all plus more next year.
now to business, I will do the trip report for the first day,
Coxsy`s Boy can do the second day, as i had to get him out of bed, tipical Teenager,
and the most converted and commited 4wder Armz can do the last day.

Thanks again Nuts always a great time :D

Yeehaahhh Had a great time. Certainly was an eventful Sunday thats for sure and the trip home well thats a story on its own. Must say its sure fun driving the truck in front wheel drive with the lockrite doing its thing, everytime i had to change gear the old girl would try and jump off the road  which made it real interesting and then with Riks beast on the back and the turbo hose split i think we reached a top speed of about 60kmh (but only on the downhills lol). Big thanks to Nuts and Mrs Nuts for their outstanding hospitality sure know how to put on a feed for the lads. We had leftovers from Sat night for lunch on Sunday and there was still leftover leftovers  Also a big thanks to Bob for taking over the organisation of this trip at the last minute and pulling it off nicely (the trip you dirty minded buggers   ) Its a pity the tape on the video ran out on the trip through Tailings cause all the fun started just after that. Was good to meet some more of the ORE community and look forward to the trip back again.

what have you got/done on the Terrano?
Mine just had a suspension lift when I first went to the coast on a club trip and surprised most of the members at how far it went, esp with a novice behind the wheel.
I am looking at 33 or32's at some stage, but have done a body lift all the same now.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.
