Post by sig »

if any one has the shearpin part of a cruiser pto driveshaft yoke lying around and wants to part with it please let yourself be known to me .was helping a mate get his 11 metre bus unstuck (back wheels fell over a bank) when my pto yoke decided to part company with my winch @#$%^&*( amongst other words)and now am in need of one .uj came apart and said piece flew off never to be seen again . cheers guysImageImageImageImageImage

I use an m4 cap screw as a shear pin, and yes it does break first, drove off with pto still in after a winch the other day.
They are cheap and I always have a few spares in glove box.
Would have thought the bus was way to heavy for any winch, a block or two to reduce the load may have saved the damage.

driveshaft will possibly work.can maybe use one side of a yoke and machine the shaft off and bore a hole in it .how much :D

i think the bit he is missing is the flange piece on the worm drive shaft going into the winch does that make sense
things would make more sense with pics

you are on to it sadam .the bottom piece in the photo is what i need but after having a bit of a measure if i use one of the yokes off the middle driveshaft uj i can make one with a bit more meat on it so hopefully will be a bit stronger.silly thing is have got a complete spare pto winch ,driveshaft and pto unit that i got off basics mate over the hill .but just did a deal with it for a pair of 80 series 3.7 diff heads last weekend :(
