Sorry for all the hold ups guys,
time I looked at lifting and bigger tyres

what have you got/done on the Terrano?
Mine just had a suspension lift when I first went to the coast on a club trip and surprised most of the members at how far it went, esp with a novice behind the wheel.
I am looking at 33 or32's at some stage, but have done a body lift all the same now.

More or less stock standard.
Run 30 allterrains and have a 1 inch block in the springs ,
learner ( 4wd )driver, excellent tutor though :D :D :D :D thanks nuts

May need to ask your advice big time though    ..... when I get the chance to do a lift

finally back in Dunedin now,

Went and hit up beaurepaires tis arvo, Didnt really have to much luck,
I tried speaking to the manager he didnt care and got the guy who fitted the tubes.
He recon they not 2nd hand tubes they were brand new and they are the only tubes you can get, so therefore he recons the guy in westport must have bin smoking saying they were 2nd hand.

He couldnt explain why I got to flatties within a km of each other thou, and offered me the free life time puncher repairs which i kindly declined.

He reconed there was no way i could get a refund as I asked for tubes, he fitted tubes, I got puncher - he'll repair the puncher.....

He did offer a free wheel alignment for my hassels which I managed to convice him 2 give me two one for the terrano and one for the subaru, thou Im not sure I want him touchin my tires again, and he also offered to do my next set off wheels for either vechicle at cost and free fitting and balancing.

So I guess it will have to be a $200 leason bot tubes not sure what I learnt thou, As with the Suzuki I was always popping the tyres of the beads so i fitted tubes and I never had a problem since with the suzuki so thats why I thought I was doing the right thing with tubes in terrano wheels.

Bugga

Anyway, its happened now,

Cheers every1 for an alsum weekend especially Nuts, Bob and PR for orginising it all I had a good time

Find a good small owner/operator tyre business and stick with them. You will get better service and quality in the lonfg run as you build a relationship with them. As for the offer of free fitting and ballancing, that's standard. When you go back for your freebies, stand oveer them and watch them. If they tell you to get out, leave and slander their arse off. I find this works really well.

Just a correction this is the climb from the Little Totara. The Tailings was the 1st river.

Did everyone drive it this time ?

Cheers Richard

Just a bit of food for thought, next year is War Birds over Wanaka. Years ago we used to run a central otago trip doing three days of fourwheeling and spend the sunday at warbirds. If you have never been it is awesome. Been waiting for my boys to get a little older to take them and next year is the year. I'm going to organise a trip in central around going to wardbirds. Keep an eye out for thread early next year. With any luck and easter at the end of the month, there will be snow around the old man range to play in.
