Don't be beating yourself up Wayne. Breaking stuff and then rebuilding it stronger is your education as well.
No point looking at an obstacle, picking the line you want, and then know that your rig isn't up to taking that line is there?
It makes it all the more fun when you can pick a few different lines and not break shit, and your rig is taking shape really nicely  :P
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Hi Wayne
My one works well with the spring in the middle of the diff and with no overloads and some ties removed. Look at pages 3,29 and 33 of the bulletproof Hilux specs
Most people get travel on the downward movement of the spring. I believe this is wrong because there is less weight on the wheel therefore less traction.I work the opposite and believe the most effective travel is up therefore keeping positive traction.

how do you find it drives on the road ... ive looked at your threed quite a bit and do like the idea ... woudl you be offended if i used it ,or a version of it ?

took it on its first track tonight with pete and ben oh and sarah ..hahhaha (db ,wopass and satalite)
went well had a fantastic time big thanks to them .. gunna put a rev limiter swtch on it ... has far to much gogo for me at his stage and revs far to fast if it gets a chance and something is just gunna break .. might even put another map in with all the timming pulled out

Hi Wayne
I don't have the travel like some of the guys with falcon springs etc but on the road I can easily go through 65-70 corners at over 100 kph without rolling whereas the others wallow alot.

With diff locks the wheel travel travel I have is completely adequate for most hard 4 wheeling.

The spring in the centre of the diff doesn't cost anything apart from abit of time to do the job. My mate Andi Delis with the Prado " handbag "is going to do it to his this year because he has seen it working on mine.

Cheers Richard
