so far registered the blizz and fitted two new glow plugs.................only 2 more to go.....   (intercoolers are wonderful things until they're mounted in the way)...

intercooler now not a problem (in a temporary way) but thinking i might have to go to bunnings tommorrow and get a new 12mm socket mine are too short and will make it a lot easier than trying to use a spanner on the last 2.....

Shot up Thompsons for something to do. Once there decided to stick our noses up the rock climb at the 2nd playground.... and well, once one starts its sometimes hard to stop. Bit of fun up the water ruts, but not too much drama. Never been up to the top of that track before and was pleasantly surprised. Coming back down however...... well, lost my phone (buggered if i know how, it was there before we went up) and managed to munt my right front guard, which now gives the perfect excuse to build some flatfenders.
Image

Image

From there we headed over the Katikati side, and stopped at finger rock. A ponga had fallen there which we cleared, and after assessing the next 100 meters caution overcame valour and we headed back.
The dozer has done a good job there so far, theres three little slips that are across the track but have be navigated by folks before us and are no issue now.

As for the loop road. It seems as if the logging has pulled out of there, but the access way at the bottom end has been blocked with a large hunk of pine, we didnt investigate the top entry in.

Also ordered new front adjustable trackbar and bodylift from aussie, and cut out the template for my tummy tuck.... now ill be sourcing material for my flatfender build too...... oh the joy, the estacy of owning a Jeep........ [ahem...]

yep had melted the earth to the body so was getting no power to anything earthed off the body and as there was no earth from the engine block to the chassis I was earthing the 400amp winch through a 5mm cable   but now have 10mm cable from engine to chassis and gonna add a 10mm from bodt to chassis

Had the same problem with my XD9000 ... i was relying on the (really) crappy factory earth straps to earth the winch through the body, had all sorts of problems with winching power, melting cables etc ... ended up taking Darinz advice and earthing the winch directly back to the battery using 900amp rated welding cable (the damm stuff is about 18mm thick worth of cable not counting insulation!!!!! along with replacing all the power cables with the same stuff) winch goes REAL well now :)
