Well, unit was delivered as requested late at nite with a Susuki on a tandem from Auckland. Checked as much as I could at that time. Next morning it started well first pop ... whew ! Found it was missing 3 door locks but other than that looked well for its age. Gave it a full service (well my mechanic did) and just as well. Alternator was not bolted on, missing main anchor bolt, Dip stick was waving around in the breeze, busted anchor point. Gear lever was broken and mounts for gearbox loose. Oh and MOST important the front left tire was a zipper, yep, belt was showing and the retread was delaminating ! and last but not least the steering box had quite a bit of play. Needless to say, iy failed it's warrant in Gisborne. The best thing is that it had a new Warrant issued in Auckland prior to delivery Stripped out the inside to find half a beach inside .... not kidding there hahaha This baby has been well used , one careful Surf Weed + little old lady ... Not
But after all that it now drives VERY well and I'm happy

Now onto the issue of getting it ready......

I have disconnected the sway bar and cut the bump stops but she will still not flex up front. The back however has over a meter but I get cross axiled easily. How do i fix this ? The crossmember is the biggest issue as it is getting hung up on this a lot, did I mention lots !

Only way to fix it is a solid axle. The joys of IFS

The crossmember is the biggest issue as it is getting hung up on this a lot, did I mention lots !

If yours is auto then you will get hung up alot as it is one of the lowest parts on the mu

Only way to fix it is a solid axle. The joys of IFS

Yep, the joy of the Isuzu IFS setup... you can only fix it with some serious engineering - either replace the IFS with a better IFS system, or a solid axle.

Nope she's a manual 5 speed
Put a bash plate on to protect sump through to crossmember, so even lower now. But she now skids over humps. My Pajero JTop was IFS with amazing drop. Oh well , more right foot aye, as she has lots of go off the mark !

I had a source on here for Ozi Front Locka but have lost the contact, will dig deeper Told though it will cost $1500 to fit it. Anyone close to Gisborne who I can get help with fitting (Cheeper, weekend job) perhaps Napier ?

I think it was me you were talking to. I used to import them, can possibly still do.

Fitting is easy, but like all things Isuzu - getting the darn diff out and back in takes all day
