Transmission Problem

Post by Guest »

I have just bought a series 3 landrover, and in high range the 4x4 selector is in the depressed position, ie in 4 wheel drive. When i select low range it pops up, but i am unable to put it back into high range without depressing the selector. Any ideas why?

So I take it you are stuck in 4wd then? If you cannot get back into high range without the selector down then this is high range 4wd in a land rover.

Try posting on one of these landrover forums. Don't think there are to many landrover experts on here at the moment.

When you select Low Range with the red lever it also automatically selects 4WD ie. you can't be in two wheel drive low range.

When in high the yellow is there for you to select 4WD - thats kinda stating the obvious....

To short a long story cut - your vehicle is [surprisingly] operating normally....
