Hey all

Post by Rych »

Hi everyone, long time no see. I created a new account as my old one doesn't seem to work no more. Old account Fex used to own the Landcruiser linked below in Queenstown. I'm back up in Auckland and keen to get back into a bit of off roading. I'm currently eyeing up a 97 Jeep Wrangler done 110,000kms, tidy black completely stock for $9,500.

Would like to know what they are like for maintenance, reliability, running costs etc? Be much appreciated if I could have some info. :)

Cheers!

hey mate, in regards to the jeep, they seem to go well. i think from memory someone mentioned that there transfers case and rear diff could have been made stronger. there is a guy in the club where im from and he has some hilux running gear under his and it goes well>>

its the red one in this vid. another chap also in our club bought a wrangler and this was his first outing with it and was hugely impressed!!

Cheers for the reply, I went and checked it out today and took it for a drive. Love it, getting a full mechanical check done tomorrow and if that clears then it's mine by the end of the week. :D

yeah reckon, if it wasnt for those 3 jeeps my 1 nissan and 1 pajero it would be the East Coast Toyota and Suzuki Club as everyone else has either one of those.
