Yikes!

Post by colly »

What's with the new format? What was wrong with the old format? Why is it in huge type? Is everyone getting older? On my mac in Safari the rh side is chopped off, ok in Firefox though. Yikes again.

thats nothing to do with the site as no one else has reported this. It maybe something to do with your trust settings or cookies or javascript. try your account on another computer.

Just the Forum Mike, and it seems to happen almost every time i use the browser back button, Im aware that it *could* just be an issue with my computer as im one of those annoying people that HAVE to run the latest buggiest newest version of everything  however the logging out issue has only started happening since the forum upgrade and does not happen to any of the other 60 odd forums im a member of

will register another logon and see what happens

cheers mark

Firefox in windows works fine for me. Maybe you should upgrade to that instead of using that peice of rubbish IE. It can even remember your password so you don't have to type it in yourself each time ;)

Don't take this the wrong way mike , you do a great job but ....

Its all up the shit for me too , all the text has gone large , in both ie under windows and firefox under ubuntu or what ever it is . Makes reading the site hard as its all off the page , the post dates don't show up in the threads anymore but thats more a change you would have made . I do not have the log in issues tho :) .

Still , it still works and we will adapt :)

It would appear that Mike has made some secret changes. Safari on my mac is now all good! Can't see the reason for everything being in monster type tho...

No I don't :) they are not on the list of posts anymore , used to be under the subject etc .

I used to open the site and click the new posts link . This gave a list of , funnily enough , a list of new posts with the subject etc and date the tread was started . And an orange squiggly thing indicating it was new since last look . Now that does not seem to work anymore as its changed , hard to tell were I was up to reading :(

Just a query ..........
may have already been covered and in a blonde moment I couldn't find it............

When I log off .........the time , top right ,
eg........It is currently Fri Apr 24, 2009 4:48 pm

goes back about 3 hours ,
( wouldn't mind the extra time to get a few things done)
and all posts within that 3 hours don't show up.

My computer or site.?
Not what if, but why not

ARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Suddenly im hit by the huge font problem!!!!! Before 5 minutes ago it was not a problem :-(

and OMGOD its slow. I have to try opening some links 2-3 times sometimes :-(.. i have to click stop and then the link again.

I hope (pray) that these issues are temporary as really enjoy being a part of these forums :(

And how do we remove the font color box on te right? It makes me scroll downwards shit loads just to make a post. I just have an older IBM thinkpad with square screen. Perhaps if it was widescreen it'd be ok. But its not.

Also sometimes txt is cut off and i miss half of the post- it just disappears off the side of te screen and im not given the option of scrolling.

I'm sure the font hasn't changed at all. Its still huge.

for some reason if i make the post and set font size to small its ok tho..

so from now on i want everyone to post with their font size set to small... ok?

thanks,
Nathan.
