5, Ron Sturme, John Cowper, Dean Russell, Hamish Auret and Moose. Only 3 got the 20 of which 2 rolled (us and fireman), so you did peg a hard hazard, but talking to few competitors, they thought other hazards were more befitting to have the $1000 on it, but thats thier opinion.
Nice to meet you by the way, a pity I was so busy at the time. Gordon
its all good, I could see you were busy, but I took the 2 mins we had to wait for a steward to introduce myself. I never really get to chat much on the day either, as you are always on the go either doing or looking at a hazard
Yes, i was tempted to move it over to one of the big slips which were near vertical but smooth but they, and a couple of other possibilities, were too far away from the PA system and the main centre of the rally, which was where I'd hoped to be hanging idly about for the day having a yak to any passers by. Wrong again, I didn't even get time fror breakfast, or lunch or even take a leak then got the last meal left at prizegiving. I'm usually such a lazy prick too, not my idea of a relaxing fun day! who won?
Fireman won, Hamish 2nd, ernie 3rd
