Do any Hilux auto gearboxes fit onto a 2jz engine?

a34* plus transfer out of a surf, or the prado set up a343f should work as well
toymota thats stock standard.

Either an A343H from a V6 surf or an A343F from a Prado. Don't think any other 4wd models came out with a A340 series box.

Pretty sure thats what i had behind my 2jz when it was in the truck. Whole lot was bolted up, no adaptors

MY 94 surf (KZN130-W) 3.0L Turbo Diesel also has an A343F gearbox too...so its not just the V6

Theres a A343H + transfer in the Parts Surf here if you need one, its been rebuilt apparantly,was in truck 2 weeks then the motor blew up, make an offer if you want it....
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

Yup, You just need the belhousing from an/the A340 off the back of the 2JZ.

Also the prado boxes are designed for the prado's offset rear diff, whereas the surf boxes are designed for centre diff head.
