Replacing brake pads

Post by missnz »

Hey guys, have a Subaru Forester '01 model. Just replacing the CV boots on it and doing the brake pads at the same time. Anyone know of any good websites that guide you through replacing brake pads or any tips on here?

if ABS model you have to open the bleed nipple when compressing the pistons back in so as not to force the fluid back thru the ABS unit which is not good for them.

hard to explaine the process really... simple job but not easy to explaine how to do it.

heres a good one, but your not doing rotors so ignore that bit

its not a forester and they dont bleed the fluid out and just compress it back to the master cyl so its pretty usless to you really... but gives you an idea
If you already know everything, DON'T ask bloody questions!!

Cool. Thanks for that. Got the CV joints all back on and mounted the other day. Will be doing the brake pads in the next week or two. Needed the car back on the road! :)
