After watching that Churleaders DVD last night looks like you've got a bit of panel beating to do as well

Quote of the DVD was Steve: "Tim Look out for the tree (Bang - then reverse - have another go - Bang) Steve to camera man: "Did you get that? Cameraman: "Na I was running to get out of the way"

Going to watch it again cause it was awesome - I wouldn't have been up to driving those conditions (think my old truck would still be buried in there somewhere

Oh yeah - Replacing smashed CV on my old brown truck this weekend.

Looked once again into my tail light issues, ..., found an unconnected earth wire & bolt hiding deep under the body, found the nearest bit of chassis and bolted them together. Tail lights work fine now :D Must have been disconnected when the rear cross member was replaced.

Took the truck down to the river for its first test run.

Rapt nothing to repair or modify that we didn't know about prior to taking it out.

First trip in anger next weekend so need to finish off a few things by then (winch, hydraulic locker, rear brakes, power steering)

Finally decided what to do with my truck's rear end. Have had the parts for a while but been deciding re the brakes, but decided to go back to drums to get mobile and WOFed etc. Will re look at disks later. Just need a couple of seals and will be set to go.

Can some one confirm if the hilux outer hub dust seal is an option rather than using the less common cruiser one? understand it needs a wee bit of modding but the diameter is the same and a heap cheaper?
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

adjusted the rear brakes, again within a month. Now the hand brake actually works!! It will probably only work for a couple hundred kms, but I have rear brakes!

Pulled an enormous rats nest out of the safari which consisted of the whole front fender...at the same time found where all the bonnet absorption material disappeared. Replaced wiring for head lights and indicators which had been chewed, and replaced blown bulbs, (some bright person had put 12v bulbs in  ).

I know it is a bit late for this post . but it is closer to last weekend then the next so here we go ,.. last trip i was on , i came home with all my indicators on and they wouldnt blink when i turned a corner , , so i had a look and i found out that my alarm has craped out  to much dust in the thing  , so i have disconnected it and now it all works again.. , so this weekend the whole alarm will be comeing out , as i found out a price to get the same model and it is a bit much for it to get filled full of dirt and dust , so out the door it goes.. , now just the radiator needs a clean and the hand brake needs adjusting and the clutch needs bleeding , the whole truck needs a clean and a inner CV joint needs replaceing  then it is all good..and ready for the next trip..

Personally I would refit the alarm ... any thing that discourages the scumbags form ripping off your pride and joy has got to be a good idea, and most insurance companys give you a discount if you have an alarm

Get a "click clack" or similar, container and cut a neat hole for the cables then seal around them with silicon ... it works for the computer and stuff too
