Last time I looked for 50mm flares with wire in the outside there wsn't any or any plans to make more. had to go with the smaller shit. The shit from ripco is the smaller stuff as is ARB , as is all other 4wd shiops I looked at.
rain, hail, sleet or snow, we go!

Just use conveyor belt it still bends but is reinforced pretty good. I just pop rivetted it in mine...works sweet. HCD in hamilton has second hand and new of pretty much every thickness.

I got quoted for this stuff, available from Rubbermark but after hearing the price I'm going to stick with conveyor off-cut's.

Suits larger 4 x 4 vehicles. Hollow outer bead takes stiffening wire.
Up to 20 metre rolls.
$30+gst/metre
Product Code: 70.16100

Image

Suit smaller 4 x 4 vehicles.
Up to 20 metre rolls.
$16+gst/metre
Product Code: 70.16150

No problem

Its usually quite hard to find- i had a good look on there last night and couldn't find anything at all. There is one place tere that offers a few different styles and widths. 50mm, 75mm and under or side mount.

Will have a look later and try find the store im thinking of.

Dont know if anyones said this- but that cloth reinforced conveyor belt material stays looking nice for way longer than the rubber flares too... rubber ones always go wavy- though i guess the wire would solve that.

the wire does solve that problem thats why i want the better quality stuff, my offroader has had the better stuff on for 4 years and still as good as new and keeps the shape.

my mate in oz picked up my guard flare material today just waiting for postage now, want it for my long wheelbase truck to cover wider wheels, i want it to look tidy as well as purposeful, if it was for offroad useage i would have used something else but i want to use the right stuff for the job in this case, i suppose it will be around $150 nzd in total but if it were available in NZ it would be around $300 i suspect judging from how we get ripped for most 4wd accessories unfortunatly. :( :( :(

thankyou for the help guys,

"madmatt" it looks like you may have shares in a car polish company?? whiter than white :D

There's two types, the normal type reinforced conveyor belt material and there is a PVC reinforced type. I got the PVC type, it looks better with a glossy finish. Its about 5mm thick and well and truly sturdy enough for the job. I finished off the exposed edge today with a gloss black enamel paint to hide the reinforcing, looks great.

Is this what you're after?
How wide do you want? And how long?
I might be able to sort you out.
