first thing...block off EGR and EGR butterfly in the intake.
then its possibly injectors unless its always has been overfueling. you can simply wind the fuel back a bit. also check the intake hasn't clodded up with black muck.
i assume you have done the basics of cheaking air filter etc.

yup have done all the basics just done a full servive including new fuel filter air filter etc. has always smoked but its just started to anoy me. how do u block of erg and waht advantage will this give me

check out this website, im let to block mine off, but i will also be doing the same as mine tends to overheat under abit of load, doenst like doing 100kmh+ or full revs up hills etc.. maybe next weekends mission

often the egr valve will stick open casueing loss in performace and lots of smoke.
easy enough to put a plate on the egr pipe, it also it pays to disable the butterly in the intake.

Try running some morleys diesel additive through it. Some find it works, some dont, for under $20 its worth a try.
