jacking an L200
looking at jacking up my 96 l200 about 50mm depending on what i can get outta the standard shocks which are near new kyb's, the front is torsion bars so easy jack up job there but as for the rear which is leafs? also will raising it 50mm make the road handling much diff ? would be keen to take it 100mm if poss ? standard shocks prolly wont allow tho, any guidance would be great

that would lower it....that not a common truck on here but ask your local 4wd shop, they should be able to get some lifted rear springs and point you in the right direction for the front

no it wouldnt would it coz when you put lowering blocks in they go between the leaf and the diff which jack the diff toward the under chassis where as i want to put the diff under the leafs so its on the road side not the chassis side it will work not sure how safe it would be? and i dont have springs i have torsion bars up front which you can just wind up or down correct ?

oops i read it the other way ...my mistake....spring over is a reasonably common mod to landcruisers with from what i can tell various amounts off success.

Re: jacking an L200
cool thats a positive thing to hear! but as for the front ? anyone ? torsion bar lifting ?>
Re: jacking an L200
You won't get the front to match the lift you give it in the rear. Why not leave it as it is and do a body lift to get bigger wheeels on?
Or just give it a two inch lift in the rear and then wind the torsions up on the front to match.
Or Both to get your 100mm lift.

yeah mate mentioned body lift all you need is some blocks between chassis bolt points and body could make them yourself ? guessing would need cert afterward i cant put blocks in my rear as it would lower it have to use shackles wouldnt i ?
