WELLY ORE CREW "why the faaark not" DINNER '4TH JULY'

Post by skid »

WELLY ORE CREW MID WINTER XMAS DINNER

Was chatting to folks the other week and the idea was thrown out there about a dinner in Welly

seeing as how the mid yuletide season is nearing, I thought I'd throw out the idea of dinner.

Put on your glad rags, Reece will find his best pair of shorts and lets go out for dinner.

I have looked at some dates and the middle of the year falls on the 26th June ( friday ), so I though that either that weekend or the next or the next, or better still lets just make it a thanksgiving dinner and have it on the 4th July.

Ghengis Khan has been mooted as a place to eat.

So what do you welly lot think and do ya want to involve kids as well and find somewhere kid friendly.

start throwing some ideas around and we'll see what happens

Good idea Skiddy except I keep hearing crap about bbq’s and people houses

I don't mind but I would prefer somewhere where I'm not eating with my hands off a greasy hot plate outside in a screaming Southerly

Maybe somewhere where they have people that cook the food for you and then there are these other people that bring the food to you and then you pay these nice people.

Somewhere where you don't have to being your own plate and eat with your hands. Foreign concept I know, they call these places restaurants. I have consulted my favourite dictionary (Bubba’s Big Book of Words and Bullshit meanings, only $19.99+PP)

Rest - (r-est – 1.meaning a place to sit, 2. to chill out,- fak I’m knacked, I need a rest),

Aur – (a-rrrrrrrh – 1. the noise you make as you open your mouth to eat 2. the noise that comes out of you mouth as you make a cum face - Aur(rrrh) man you sister was good, not as good as your mum though (at cooking, you sicko))

Rant - (rant, - 1. to talk shit 2. to tell others how great you think you are - jeez that guy rant(s) on about a load of shit )

So, a restaurant; a place to chill, eat and talk shit

I will further consult the most lovely Domestic Goddess who will make suggestions on the most futurist of prospects. For an explanation of that sentence refer to my favorite book ($19.99 +PP) whichs says "I will ask Sarah for any decent, suitable places and make a suggestion"

exactly what was intended in the original post

do not listen to any of Jerrys ravings about cold green huts and bazebos or bbqs down the road from you

if he keeps going on about it, we will secret squirrel the whole event and he simply wont be invited.

A restaurant is exactly what I was thinking and if you look closely I already suggested one.

Kids will probably be left out of this one which is why I sort of posted up 3 weekends as some of us have part time kids, maybe a poll on dates would be good.

This is the opportunity for us muddy folks to put on some glad rags and see how different we can look to our shorts/camo/bush clothes wearing attire we're accustomed to seeing.

Cheers

if he keeps going on about it, we will secret squirrel the whole event and he simply wont be invited. Please do, the boy makes walking look difficult I don't think I can stand watching him trying to use a knife and fork, he's likely to stab himself

A restaurant is exactly what I was thinking and if you look closely I already suggested one. and I was agreeing with you

Kids will probably be left out of this one which is why I sort of posted up 3 weekends as some of us have part time kids, maybe a poll on dates would be good. Yeah agreed

Well Skid, Sadam and myself have been talking and we reckon Jerry has a fantastic idea.
Thanks Jerry for offering to have a BBQ at Marks place, what time are you picking the kids up for the BBQ again??? And what time will you be dropping them off home the next day??

We will enjoy the night out without kids while you babysit.

New Genghis Khan
25 Majoribanks Street
Wellington, New Zealand 6001
+64 (0)4 384 3592

This specialist in all-you-can-eat Mongolian barbecue-style cooking can be found amid a cluster of restaurants at the base of Mt Victoria. Plush surroundings with dark walls, rich red upholstery and a simple wall fountain give an aura of the Orient. A good choice for families. Meals are reasonably priced at NZD16.50 (adults) and NZD10 (children). This includes soup and a selection of meats and vegetables that are presented to the chef for hot plate cooking. Licensed.

We are in, Saturday night is best for us and we don't mind what weekend either.

GK is a great place too, not the best for vegetarian's though as they cook the meat on the same hot plate. I think you can ask them to cook it out the back I guess, we don't care though coz we all love meat!!
