RC rock crawler

Post by petefj40 »

Has anyone looked at these model RC kits?
This thing is bloody pricey. I like the fact that it's water proof.
But it's pretty farken cool. 8)

It is aye.
I've done a bit of shopping around on it. You can get them a lot cheaper from the states or even on ebay. =)

I've found one new for NZ$850. I already gotta spare set of simexs sig.
The thing I like about these rc cars are the brushless motors they use. They're amazing. Electric is the way to go..
I've got over $1k worth of gas powered rc car stuff I'm going to part with. I'm done with the gas powered thing though it was fun. To much mucking around.

Since you phoned me talkin about rock crawlers Matt I've been thinking of ditching all my nitro gear n gettin one. And I think this one might be the go. i'd rather have a FJ40 shell tho :D . But the outside roll cage on this one looks cool. 8)

I do wonder about how easy it is to replace parts and the cost.
It'll only do 50k flat out so that's pretty tame. But it is a good mix. having low gear and lockers is cool. And the kids, I mean me will love the light setup on it.
