I ran 33's on a 93 long wheel base on standard springs with no rubbing, have since done a bit more to it. But go with the 33's be the best bang for your buck. Oh I have the 1kz motor, the smaller 2.4 oiler may struggle with the bigger tyres.
my 2 cents. good luck

the 2.4 will spin them.......they are just a bit gutless though.....but you can get them bouncing off the rev limiter at 5k which helps

Markr is local with a swb 1kz one, could PM him and see what he has done to his....., or have a chat to Rob at Naenae Tahs .... he might have some suggestions.... he can do the EFS stuff as well...

ARB .... PM Badnuz.... or theres G Guy in town

You should be fine with 33's, you may need to change the offset on the rims. One thing to check is they might rub on the exhaust in the front drivers wheel arch.. .you won't know till you try some on. It's not a problem with something like an MTR, but with a simex it will damage the exhaust manifold bolts at some point.

I run 33' Gt radial adventuros on my 93 Prado without a bodylift or a spring lift and have no issues at all with rubbing.

Upload them to www.photobucket.com (set them to 640 x 480 when you upload them) and copy the picture link into a post...

My 32 Simex's, which are in reality a 33, are fine without a lift, unless you try to run chains. Yes I get the rub on the exhaust trick.
There is a nice big red 78 series running in North Canty with a van exhaust outlet on the turbo. This puts the exhaust straight back under the wagon and not out through the side. Problem solved.
