Range rover or Discovery drop arm wanted

Post by mike »

Hi All,

Urgently need a drop arm for a rangie or disco (should be the same) that goes from the steering box to the drag link. As usual I have left it to the last minute :o

Mine is one of the welded ones grrrr

Actually the Classic Range Rover and Discovery arms are different. The Rangie ones have the old style ball joint fixed to the drop arm and goose neck on drag link while Discovery use a different version which allows a standard type ball joint on the end of the drag link.

Sounds like you have the older (and more expensive) type so maybe ideal time to upgrade to later type. You will need drop arm and drag link to do this but worth the conversion.

Not quite, early Discovery Series 1 TO VIN JA018109 or upto 1994 had the same pitman arm as Range Rover Classics with power steering
