Yesterday starightened the LF shock that got bent at Easter weekend which then proceeded to tear the bootom shock mount off the diff last weekend, so that has been replaced as well.
Radiator still has a link tho, that might be next weekends job

Went out for a play last night and given that the forecast was for all but snow we decided to be soft and put the roof, windscreen and doors on (also had to wire up lights etc as well)

Image

Then realised it was getting really cold so we put the canopy on as well. Glad we did as within five minutes of getting there we were charging up a drain and the truck was coated in mud and water, yet we were nice and dry inside :D

Have had a rattle coming from my safaris front right corner. Managed to get some time in a dry garage and found there was tons of play in that wheel. First time I'd ever opened up a solid axle and seen how it works 8) . Bearing was loose but thankfully it looked to be in great condition. Tightened it all up and it like new.

5 minutes ago i realised i'd forgotten to put the C clip back in  ffs.

Spent most of Saturday at Tu's place getting the truck ready for the costa trip, without giving away to much, we got heaps done, rear brakes all plumed up and working, rear chassis all welded up, rear winch mount sorted, seats mounted and bolted in, door handles mounted, just need to sort out the fire wall, centre tunned and a couple of other things then it will be read...

Skid dropped me out the Hutt to pick my repaired truck up this avo, had rear disks with subaru calipers fitted, rear axle housing removed and spring perches rebuilt and new engine mounts off the side of the block to replace the sadle bracket on the front of the engine that kept breaking its bolts, when I dropped the truck off both bolts on the drivers side of the bracket had broken (again  ) and the engine was supported by the tappit cover resting on the firewall :? :x

Howat Engineering

not only does he do great work, but he goes the extra mile for ya

will suggest a better way to do things without making your original idea look stupid

and on the way to pick it up, Sadam was concerned that he'd forgotten some plastic and tape to cover the end of the axle housing, so the water didn't get in on the drive home.

Imagine his relief to see that howie had covered and taped, not only the ends of the housing but the the big hole where the diff head goes too.
