LT1 V8 in to Safari

So i have a LT1 in need of a rebuild sitting in my garage going to waste (and taking up space) and a friend with a rattly TD42 in his safari that he is probably going to pull to rebuild.

Can some one point me in the right direction for an adapter or bell housing to fit one into the other? the safari is a manual. I am just thinking out loud to see if its really worth pursueing.

Has anybody done it?

a few you need a addapter from gearbox to transfer case Marks in au does them
