Re: Super swampers
We have a MU with solid front. Have run the Simex Jungle trekkers in the past, they went well on our truck, but are pretty worn now and we want to upsize to 35inch. Why don't you like swampers, we like the look of the LTBs on the interco site, but have no experience with swampers.
Re: Super swampers
i didnt say i dont like them as i do and have had a few sets, you cant beat them for the wank factor, but there are better cheaper tyres available, $600 plus for a swampa in 35's, there is better value out there, but it's your money, simex, maxxis, kuhmo...

Re: Super swampers
The driving we do is mostly clay hill climbs and bogs, some sidlings but very little gravel or rock. We drive a MU with the 2.8TD motor, so very little weight (about 1700kg) for bagging tires. I've heard the TSL & LTB swampers are softer compound and bag better then the ET2 Simex and Creepy crawlers.

You heard right. They also have much worse road manners than the others as well, and longevity is BS. If you also have to climb any rocky stuff, the TSL's will hang on better if wet.
I am on my second set of swampers and I love em. But tyre choice is all about where you drive.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Thanks, we had checked out that site. I think the boggers will be too wide. Not sure whether the 2.8TD Mu will turn the 36s very well running Hilux/MU 4.56 diffs, or whether they will fit under the guards. Pretty sure 35s will fit OK. Our 33 Jungle trekkers measure around 34 with room to spare.
I think we'll go through our local tyre guys and see what they can find.
