Welcome aboard mate.

Nice choice in truck.
You are going to be surprised just how well it will go with the 1KZ. Loads of grunt.
Lose the rear Sway bar and get a Spare front CV .

Could be keen for a run some time .

thanks
apparantly it was used as the lead car car for new 4wd buyers.
they would buy a 4wd and then follow this Surf thru out a track just to show them how to drive them.

keen as a bean for a run thru the mud soon

Nice truck, just a word of caution which could save you some $$ and bother.

Surfs have a weak front diff, 7.5" compared to most 8" diffs. they blow quite easily if you get into a cross axle situation where one wheel spins up and then grips all of a sudden. Avoid this if possible. ie putting the boot up her with the 1kz and the front end gripping and un gripping on those 33's the diff WILL let go. Best and cheapest fix is to fit an auto locker which stops the airborn wheel spinning up, gives you the ability to walk through cross axle situations and the price of one of those is generally about the same as a replacement diff. I kept putting it off and managed to blow two diffs, bought one and then didnt break one for 2.5 years with lots of hard driving on it.

otherwise have fun
