Hey.
Since its almost winter now the pig has decided to spring a leak in the heating system. Its not pissing out so its kinda hard to see where its coming from.
I've noticed that the top hose coming out from the drivers side of the fire hose (the smaller hoses) is stone cold. Just wondering if someone could check to see if this is normal?
Its only leaking to the drivers side foot well and the other two hoses that come out above it seem to be dry as a bone. Anyone ever have any similar leaks?
Cheers, Taz.

Same thing happened to my last Safari, The factory heater Radiator had farked out and was leaking water in drivers side foot well.
A genuine one was around $600 if i can recall so i had a rad shop make me a little Alloy one up for under $200, The factory one has plastic end caps and cant be repaired.
Cheers

Bugger. I read that if the core is gone it leaks down both sides so thought I was lucky. Just the right time of year to do it to cnuting fcuk
I pestered cockrams for a price on one last week and it came in around the 500-550 but I'm sure there is a freight charge they would slap on to bring it to 600. Already decided not to buy from them though before I got the price because the service was piss poor.
I'll try a wreckers for a price to but probably better to head to a1 and put something new in when its tucked away like that.
Cheers man.

Hey all. Got exams on so no time to rip into it yet but would be good if someone could take a few seconds after a drive to see if their top (drivers side) hose is cold. I'd assume it should be hot but just to double check.
Logic would suggest that even with a leak in the core some coolant should still be going back through that hose unless it was blocked, otherwise I'd have to don a wetsuit to keep dry.

That image sizing is a bit annoying eh!
