New member. PTO

New member saying hi to the forum. Driving a 1989 Patrol/Safari Turbo 2" suspension & 2" body lift,running 35's.
Looking for advice on PTO winches. Mine won't freewheel. Tried pulling it apart, removed allen head bolts, it then freewheeled ok. Couldn't get the hub? off so decided to put bolts back in. What a mission! Could get 5 of the 6 bolts back in but the last one didn't want to go. Finally got it started but it didn't want to go all the way in & I was reluctant to force it. Anybody out know something about these or have a link to a online exploded drawing? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.Where abouts are ya,Im pretty sure coxsy has a PTO on the front of his Saf give him a PM.otherwise if we know where your at help may only be 5 mins round the corner

yo have you taken the winch out of the cradle then pull it down think hub, circlip, drum comes off clean it up regrease it should free wheel grease the drun regularly

In Albany,Auckland.thanks for the advice coxsy.I hadn't dropped the winch I was trying to take the easy way out, looks like I'll have to do as you suggest.
