im just throwing this out there for now,as my mates come across a tidy vk comy that i want, that he will hold till i sell this
ive got a real tidy 1990 2 door surf
straight as
no rust no dings
mint chrome
mint interior

i was going to sell complete, i rekon its worth $2k minimum
but then its got a mint 3ye that i could chuck in my mud toy
So for now ill see if i get any bites for it minus motor and wheels
for $1200
might be someone looking for a project/repower/sas-able body
coiled rear, bits for wide axle front etc etc
open to neg
this is only pic i have for now
its friken tidy, been well looked after

I think most people look at it as being on the too hard side to repower a wagon.
Had the same thing myself when my hilux died a natural death

But hopefully you have better luck
