Red Rocks

Hey Guys, Just woke up and decided that i feel like going for a play around Red Rocks. Leaving Tawa at 12. Come down for a play if ya want.

didnt see this thread but managed to meet up with lynx round the rocks today. Had fun destroying the sand tracks which lead to a hilux getting stuck and datsun with ali tow points helping out. Got to use the winch, got to do a hill climb (not on the dunes like a mu on big tyres and a surf) so was fun.

wouldnt mind going around further next time when the tide is out.

Hi guys Just a quite word on the sand dunes past Red Rocks.
The dunes are the only place in the North Island that grow some sort of grass that is there so the Greene's are very keen to keep 4x4s out.
They put some signs up a year or so ago but now have all fallen or pulled down.
The council have asked a few of the locals to keep an eye on the place and take photos of vehicles riping them up.
So please keep off dunes or the whole coast could be closed....
If your round there and see people driving in the dunes could you let them know whats happening.

Another 5 seconds an that mu might of landed on your roof!

How far round did you get that the tide/swell was a problem?
