Surf 3ltr Turbo Diesel Oil Pressure

Hi just asking on behalf for a mate
Does anybody know the hot idle oil pressure , he noticed it was in low section on dash guage, has checked with calibrated guage and was 25psi, concerned a bit low however motor sounds fine.

Thanks BP , I think he be a little paranoid, pressure ok when revs up.

according to my gregory's supplement engine manual for the 1kz-te it says .

oil pressure at idle should be more than 29kpa = 4.25psi
oil pressure at 3000rpm should be 245kpa = 35.5psi

Those figures are min for a stuffed motor .At 3000rpm should be around the 60lb mark

Thats what I thought Bp. Thats exactly what he gets 60 psi at 3000 rev.
From memory most warning lights come on around 10psi which is normally too late. I have already told him not to worry and just drive the thing and shut up and if it blows up get a nissan, just joking, he my boss.

Just out of interest I was at Turners at Tauranga today, they had Toyota Blizzard with 2.4 d motor, minor frontal, looks ok, should go for a few hundred guy reckons, could be handy for easy fix or parts.
