Okies, so I have gone and bought me a nice shiny LSD for my Terrano.
It is a 4.6 ratio and mine is 4.8 so I will need to change the gearing. From what I understand it will be the crown that gets changed?
Is there anything else I should do or look at or do whilst the change over is done?

Re: Terrano LSD installation
Another question, is there a better brand of LSD oil to use, or is it all much of a muchness?

Re: Terrano LSD installation
Hi Pete, you will need to change the Crown wheel and Pinon, they need to be kept as a matched pair. I haven't set up a Nissan LSD but am lead to believe they are a better set up than the other brand ( that I won't bad mouth so I won't mention the T name ),
the LSD can probably be tightened up to make it more efficient, you will have to do a complete strip to change the R/P so a good look at the bearings and replace where necessary and a new Pinion flange seal. Any LSD oil will do. Check with Rick at 4WD acc , for a price to change and set up I know your very skilled but a Linesman can't be good at every thing
, you could find yourself,
UP THE POLE,
FITZY.
