Hi All,
Been a petrolhead all my life, but have just got my first proper 4WD (Other car is a very tidy RSB Legacy). This morning i picked up from a deceased estate, a 1993 Terrano R3m V6 Auto. First mod will be an external oil cooler, and then I'll be looking at winding the torsion bars up and fitting some lift coils and possibly new struts. I'd also like a winch for those solo missions, but budget and practicality will play a part there.
The plan of attack is to use it as a daily driver (putting way, way, way too many kms on my first love!) and use it in order to find my offroad feet. Should the bug really bite, then i'll likely flick it and get a safari, or budget allowing (ultimate goal really) An FJ40.
All i can say is, after the afternoon i've spent in the maungatuks, buying an off road vehicle may be the best bloody thing i've done!

Thanks for the welcomes
As for the mangatuks, just drove to the end of the road, crossed a couple of streams, and carried on until i hit a sizeable bog. Didn't go any further, and didnt want to play there cos well, no winch etc...
double backed and there's a few areas just off the road which make great playgrounds for noobs.
Seems to be a few noobs, too.
