Going to wash it after the run from 2 weeks ago and start removing panels doors etc to start the rebuild. Purchased Orbital Steering and RAM the other day for the rebuild, so going to keep patting it as I walk past

Went to VTNZ to get WOF for the jeep

Failed on 5 relatively minor things so will try to get them fixed.

One of them already while still in the carpark at VTNZ. He failed it because the rear lap seatbelt was jammed under the seat, so I folded the seat bottom forward, lifted out the belt and put it back

Handbrake adjustment, headlight alignment, seat retaining bolts and front bumper to sort now.

I had removed the two plastic end caps off the bumper, well Rallywoods kindly removed one and is looking after it for me, the other is in the garage. Already been through one WOF with only one on the front, now I get told it has sharp corners
So thinking that a piece of hose split down the length pushed onto each end should do the trick??

Ooh know what that feels like.

Got the crap body off the surf today and cleaned the chassis real good, so gonna put some chassis black on it tomorrow. Also got the body off the donor surf.
Taking the engine off tomorrow and put it on the bench to inspect and hopefully fix.
Oh good times :D :D

Also got a yn60 surf body no canopy if anyone wants it. roof caved in a little bit cause wasn't too concerned with it when pulling it off.

water blasted the 40 after rallywoods the previous weekends fun ( that was 4 hours used ) .then started to track down why i had no brake peddle after 20 mtrs of driving and discovered rear drivers side wheel bearing had seen better days (10mm of sideways movement ). just debating whether i fix it or start putting my 60 rear housing in thats in the garage on the floor .

Changed out the complete front axle assembly of the 80 series so I can overhaul it. Going to do wheel bearings, CV's, CV support bushes, knuckle seals and should probably do the drive plates as well.
Also thinking about zinc plating so the balls dont corrode.
