A simple well designed sump is just as effective for what we do, mine has been extended back to the bell housing and then a gated can put in the back so on up hills the oil pick up is always submerged and the on downhills the oil is contained in the can and agian the pick up is still all good

swb lux with 7mge, trailgear crossover, trailgear rear lift kit, custom front bar, runva 1200lb winch, custom snorkel, 37" Mtrs, custom deck, lockright in the rear.

move pick up to rear......
or there is a trials truck that has a power steer pump as a scavenge pump, and uses the motors own oil pump to pressurize the system, tank is in rear of vehicle, has been running this setup for over 4 years with no issues and still on same motor. cheap as!!!
the pump is mounted low to ensure pick up.
Cheers

Re: dry sump
on my heep the oil pick up swings from side to side so doesn't matter about the angle too much unless your upside down
oh its a factory bit as well
what about the pick up end attached to bit of flexiable hose so it can roll around in the bottom of the sump?
