Yeah had a gander at those listings, maybe a few times haha.
Don't think that first one, beast that it is, is worth anywhere near that. Not to me anyway. (Looks like the same driveway as 'big_green_40' or something has on here? Pretty sure it is/was his)
From the looks of questions on previous auctions etc that V8 cruiser would need a fair whack of attention. I'd say shes been used and abused then parked up dirty. Petrol V8 is a bit beyond my means as far as gas goes anyway.
I actually quite like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=229401060 but would have to get it for a bit less than that to make it worth bringing down. Don't know much about toymotor motors though so just looking into how good/crap 3Y's are at the moment. So far only seem to have carb issues but pretty bulletproof otherwise.
Cheers for the links.

Yeah but haven't seen it in person is the only worry. Had band practice tonight so couldn't shoot out to have a quick gander either. Got another hour and a half to think about it haha.

From my understanding of the law those rims would need certing, if they are 8" wide, which it looks like, tyre size, shocks as longer than factory and springs as over two inches higher than factory.
I haven't had to go through the certing process yet so correct me if I'm wrong coxsy or anyone else. Might save me some coin down the track

Depends on tracking width for rims, tyres, in theory, should be certed, shocks etc should be ok.
I may be placing a bid on behalf of a mate, but, like you, he hasn't seen it, and if turns out to be a dud and sale doesn't go through, I get the bad feedback!

was told at a club meeting from the nzfwda meeting a lift is ok that is what they were told by low volume cert ass
89 safari, pto winch, 33x15 simexs. sliders,75mm lift . turbo intercoolered
Re: F/S Nissan Safari GRANROAD N/A 1994. (Hi Top)
Would depend on the lift. As soon as you need modded/adjustable panhards, move away from factory mounts etc, you need a cert, so a 2-3" should be fine on a Safari, bigger, I dare say a cert would be needed
Re: F/S Nissan Safari GRANROAD N/A 1994. (Hi Top)
Well, nobody bid. Was tempted and almost clicked the button but just couldn't bid when I hadn't eyeballed it or had someone else look over it. There will be another....

Well that 70 has gone $1 reserve. Any bets on what it will go for? My guess is around $7400.

Saw that last night. I would have been keen if he left the sheepskins haha. I bought a SWB Pootrol on Friday anyways. Cheers.
Farkin massive difference in the revs on these older blocks to. Could never understand what people were on about when they said that they didn't have enough revs to drive 35's with standard diffs on a N/A TD42 till now. Should have used that as a selling point.
