Faaaaark, looks a bit rough mate!!!!!

Who were the clowns that did that work??

They could probably get a job working on v8 supercars with that sort of shoddy welding. Not a blob of bird shiat in sight. Disgusting.

Boogy as, but meh, it'l look a whole lot better with some mud on

Now there's an idea skid! Hmmmm. :D

Jokes aside skid. I thought you of all people would be into the original look of the 40's front lights. You've gone down in my book of hard core 40 owners. Sorry mate.

Careful Pete - with those Triple block Simex's and beadlock rims this is looking like a serious mud truck... are they 36's?

Without scanning back though the long one piece build thread I can't remember if you have put longfield cv's in??? If not you might want to take some spares. All that horse power and big tires will be tough on them.

Truck definitely looks awesome - hope you have a mint weekend and show those boys why so many of us love the 40's

Well I'm selling the truck. Or I think I'll stick to the supermarket car parks and the pavement.
I came back after only one day. The first track scared the CRAP out of me.
So I ran home with my tail between my legs.

I went home with the bot m8. Was shittin through an eye of a needle on Friday night.
I was just taking the piss out of myself before you lot do. :P

But you're probably right merc.

Even though my stomach was givin me hell I still was buzzing on the first day. Was farken awesome!!!!! I'll be back. I wanna do that Chasm track they did yesterday.

That pic above where i got it all wrong? Was the first and only track I went on. It was meant to be unpassable, (stated by 2 other clubs). But the boys did a great job digging the track up making it do-able.

On Friday i thought Sam in his nissan did bloody well!!!! Good effort m8!

What a blast it was :D
Gutted I wasn't there for the whole trip.

Cheers!

Yep they were 36's.
The CV's are 70 series mnc. I brought a spare with me just in case. But I didn't do much off road so they weren't needed.

Sorry I let the 40 owners down this weekend.
I'll be back with vengeance!

nah we didn't go down the other side Richard.
When your new to it having 3 or 4 people telling you where to go was a little confusing. But it mainly my bad driving that got me in the crap. But that's the best way to learn i recon.

Going down was freaker than going up! But both Nathan n I were amazed at the LS1's engine breaking in low box 1st gear. Hardly needed to break at all.

I didn't bring my L plates for the trip. :D But man did I learn a lot from those fellas.

Cheers Jezza.
I'll be glad to get back on me Wrangers for round town. Those Simex Extreme's are a handful at 100k's. Breaking at high speeds is plain scary!

After the weekend there are a couple of things I'll have to do.

Twice my left hand got smashed by the steering wheel knob.
Though I like using it round town I'm gunna get rid of the whole wheel and go for a smaller one. The later model steering box that went in this week is stronger than the last one so a smaller wheel should be easy to turn.

Another alteration I'll do is modify the 4x4 lever away from the drivers left foot. I lost count how many times I changed gear and popped it out of 4x4.

Yep, your right, it is me. Maybe it was a bigger weekend then I thought. We managedf to get halfway into the powerhouse before I called it a day due to excess rain and creek rising. Good bunch of logs to climb over.

Hi Pete,
was a bugger you got ill but that's life, glad you enjoyed the trip up Mt Greenland, and yes that bit of track that had been washed out that the boys made driveable was a, just driveable, with lockers, good tyres, good skills, and some attitude
I thought you did pretty well to get up there and down in the rain.
Rest of the weekend was good fun, out playing till 7:20pm on Saturday night, and didn't get home till 8pm last night, although yesterday was a fizzer as the heavy rain set in :(

I dropped me truck off at HRN today.
He's got a few jobs left to do before it's complete.
-Tread plate on the rear guards.
-Two extra bars welded to roll cage stopping water filling up the roof above the driver/passenger seats wide enough to fit a PRS radio between em.
-Remove all bar work
-Get them powder coated gloss black
-Install all bar work

Once those few jobs are done I'll be ready for ANOTHER mod.
