timing belt light, isuzu mu

how do you turn it off? truck has just clocked over 200,000kms? is there a wee button on the dash like surfs and hilux's or is it something else?

if it is like the bighorn there is a switch on the back of the speedo ... You have to pull the speedo out to get to it ...

I also found this ...

If it is anything like the other Isuzus, you have either a switch on the back of the speedometer/cluster, or a screw. The switch is easy, just move it to the other position. If you have the screw, you will find two holes in the back of the cluster labelled "KSW" - move the screw from the hole that it is currently in to the other hole labelled "KSW." The hardest part is getting the console out.

its a bulb, pull it out, never have that annoying cambelt light problem again....

its a screw in the back of the dash, the dash can be a pain to get out, you'll need a long shafted screw driver

thanks for the help guys, got that one sorted, but now the overdrive light is flashing and it wont engage, whats that all about?

trust me i wish it was a toyota then id know how to fix it, its my missus truck, its been tempremental like its owner!

The flashing overdrive light is the auto transmission fault code. If you removed a screw in the back odds are you removed the speed sensor earth screw. It will turn off the light but you won't get overdrive.

thanks jezza, have fixed the problem this morning. had a look on club isuzu as well and did the reset the computer thing as well. all going good again, cheers mate 8)
