hi people can i just wack on a draw bar and drag a truck round behind my daily with a light bar or do i need to have a rego??? on the towed truck. do i get the info from ltsa or someone like that. i think i need to make a new trailer but in the meantime...
any feed back appreciated

There have been a few topics on the A frame subject. Upshot is the towed vehicel must be safe to be towed and thats it. THe requirement for lights only arrives because chances are the towed vehicel will block the tow vehicles lights. The way things are at the moment it is essentually the same as towing it on a rope but easier

its like a towed vehicle i believe, must be in a safe condition and lights in the dark...

i looked around and came to that conclusion after looking on a bus/motorhome site a bit of a grey area by the looks, thing is those guys all pulling road vehicles :? . im gonna make one up tomorrow hopefully, then scrape together some trailer bits, bugger i need more storage now
thanks for the input has anyone made one in welly?? where do i connect it to the jeep?

no real law on aframing but as a safety aspect use a light board just to keep the boys in blue happy.....

hi taz you would know how the connection goes onto the towed truck aye? do you just bolt through some holes in the chassis rails?

bolt brackets with tongue onto chassis or weld onto bullbar so aframe can pivot up and down

or weld onto bullbar so aframe can pivot up and down


And make sure the bullbar mounts can support the load or things could get real messy or worse :shock: :oops: :oops: :mrgreen:

sweet il just stick it on the bar and check it all out how the bar is fitted then, it had a winch on it so should be sweet.
