addind a leaf to worn springs

hey people, is it possible to fit a new leaf in between my old worn springs or do i have to bite the bullet and purchase new ones??? alternitivly what else has a similar spring to a 410 zuk :roll:

you could always reset the springs, any local spring shop will do this or you can get the hammer out and start bashing them back into place. or bite the bullet a little more and go coily. my springs are almost flat and this doesnt seem to worry me and i still get good flex (for a zuke)

yea pop into your local spring engineering shop.
they can do alsorts, add an extra leaf or 2, re-tension them etc

coils sounds good but il wait a while till i can find a prado donor in the future. i spoke to a crowd today about resetting them but it would cost almost as much as the ones on t me. i think im goin up to pickapart this weekend to see what i can get thats similar and start experimenting with those first. there must be something close hopfuly or i might just make new hangers and shackles :mrgreen:

Slap some helper coils in between your springs and chassis rails

Find yourself any old coil out of anything that is fairly light (i used datsun sunny front springs on a 60 series L/cruiser). If you fluke it right you can just sit these over the bump stop bits, or make some bracketry that will locate the coil in between your existing leafs and chassis rails
