Spent all of Saturday bashing my knuckles and various other bits. Managed to get the new OME rear shocks into my Prado - pretty straightforward apart from having to use a nut-splitter on both sides! I then took off the front wheels and decided that i wasn't brave enough to tackle them without some help!
Does my 93 Prado have the same front (coil) layout as any of the other Toyotas? If only I could get my hands on a Haynes manual or something! There doesn't seem to be any way of removing the old shocks without taking the coils out - and the rest of the suspension is attached to all manner of contraptions I don't even know the names of
Any assistance much appreciated. I can't wait to feel the full effect of the new shocks!
Ive got a Toyota work shop book on this, If I took some digi pixs of this topic, could I then insert them as photos and you could read them from there.I don't have a scanner.or the knowledge to get it to the main topic forum .
