31" Options

Post by 4x4newb »

G'day.

Just want some opinions really. Going to be getting some MT's at the end of the month, but haven't decided what i'm gonna get or where. Trucks going to see a mix of off road and tarmac. So while wear is not the top priority, reasonable wear would be nice. Oh, they're going on a Terrano.

Currently tossing up between;

Maxxis Bighorns
Federal Couragia
Kumho KL-71

all 31x10.5 and will be sitting on -24 15x8 steelies.

Anyone have any experience with the federals? I can get them through a hookup, possibly at a sharper price than retail.

Bighorns and Kumhos i was looking at 4wdbits, but then after freight and fitting, probs no cheaper than a retailer?

Any recommendations on retailers in the Wellington area?

Cheers
Sam

Go the kumhos mate4, you won't regret it. Just ensure your wheel alignment and front bushes are all good, that way you will get better wear out of them.

ended up getting bighorns, and holy shit. What a massive improvement from the pirelli AT's! these things will take me places the pirellies simply wouldnt. and thats with the pirellies at 20psi and the bighorns at 36!

A bit noisy on the road and dont balance that well.
