Trip information below..

Meeting at the Rallywoods gate at 9.00am, Drivers briefing at 9.15am leaving at 9.25am.

NO DRINKING AND DRIVING, THIS MEANS EVERYONE!

Not shiny friendly as some scratching of panels can be expected - grade 3 -4
May have shiny option as well, not sure yet!
$15 per truck + $5 per for non affiliated members/visitors.
16 August 2009, recovery day if needed.

Trip will be open to non assn members, provided they have the required safety equipment i.e. hooks, first aid kit etc, $5 visitor fee payable. Affiliated nzfwda members do not pay this fee.

Note that if ANYONE that turns up and DON'T have the minimum requirements, hooks, fire extinguisher, tools to change spare tyre as well as carrying a spare tyre of the correct size etc they will be asked to leave.

Either myself of Marty Green will be checking for the normal safety requirements as well as a couple of other things as we have become a bit complacent on this issue.

If you need directions to Rallywoods please let me (Suzuki1k) or Marty (Sadam_Husian) know and we will give you directions.

We can arrange Rallywoods for people that wish to come down the night before, Please advise if you want to stay here as we need to book it. Note that there is a fee for staying the night in Rallywoods.

Cheers Reece, parking is avaliable at Rallywoods during the day for trailered/towed vehicles, and the Rallywoods Gate will be locked whilst we are in the Aka's.

How do you cope when you get a flat on trips????, do you carry on driving on 3 wheels?????

Maybe you guys could bribe reece with a jar of marmite

But seriously.....I went on a trip recently where one guy had a small engine fire but didn't have his extingisher put in, the guy behind had his but was his 9 yr old plastic handled 500ml one  , i've been on other trips where people have needed spares, tyre changing gear and tools but didn't carry any  , I don't mind carrying lots of gear but its when people expect you to carry it so they don't have to its not right.....

Marty, Jerry does not scare anybody. It's the other way around.

HOWEVER....

JERRY.............
This is a CLUB trip, the club in question is Kiwi4x4, and ALL queries about spares, tools etc etc are more properly addressed to the Organisers, Suki-1K and Sadam . This Safaripete has done. NO other opinion is valid, is it, jerry?

Nor badly veiled references about people not carrying spares. In the context of THIS thread, you are saying that Safaripete arrives un- or ill-prepared. QUITE unfair to do this about anyone unless you grow the balls to be upfront and frank and actualy name the one you wish to cast aspersions at.

With all due respect, what is ya issue Bob????

I believe this whole idea for this trip was Jerrys idea, and one which us Palmy bunch fully appreciate.

And the fact that Jerry has asked Reece to run an Aka's trip for us, which Reece and Marty have organised is fantastic

I did not see anything in Jerrys post which requires your attack on him, it was not targeted at Safari pete but rather was pointing out why we all need to be properly equiped and prepared.

I don't think any experienced 4 wheeler would disagree with him
Got a Daihatsu Something, hasn't got a Daihatsu engine.... or diffs.... and it doesn't have windows.... or doors.... but its got tyres.... :)
