Alloy wheel nuts?

Post by nstacey »

I picked up this wheel as a trademe bargain as I needed a 31" spare for my 'road' muds. Tried it on this afternoon though and obviously the hub part is a bit thick for the wheel studs. The rim is off a VX cruiser which I would have thought would have a pretty similar hub to my hilux. I know you can get tapered alloy wheel nuts but can you get them long enough to suit this application and how much $$$?

is there actually a taper there for the nuts to seat against

if not, then you will need shank type wheel nuts with washers

Wheel picture looks like shank style nut like 100 series or Lexus of same era.
