hey guys. i am looking at running 35" tyres on my lwb patrol it is a 4.2 efi petrol auto. im afraid i am going to loose alot of power... will putting diesel diffs in fix this? will they just bolt strait in? with the factory difflock?

atleast yours is petrol. Will be expensive to run- but atleast it'll boogie.

Diesel diffs will help slightly. Petrol ratio is 3.9:1 and diesel is 4.1:1. So not a lot of difference. Safari spirit II 2.8 diesels have 4.6:1 but are hard to come by. Every one is looking out for a set. Or you could go after market ring and pinion, just a bit $$$.

Not all petrols are 3.9. I think only efi auto's are and the rest are 4.1.
Check transaxle code and it will be either HG 39 (3.9) or HG41 (you guessed it 4.1)
