3.8l holden v6 won't spark, in surf

gidday guys. yesterday afternoon a positive wire from under the dash/radio started earthing out and now the truck wont start.
it turns over but there is no spark, i just replaced the coils aswel.
i checked all the main fuses and they are all fine.

I don't know what els it could be?

any info/suggestions would be grate thank you

Might be one for an auto sparky. Did anything smoke? If so follow the smell and you might find something blown. Check for power to the ecu. Try to follow the wire that was shorting out and find out where it goes. I'm guessing it wasnt fused to may have fried something in the computer. Take the cover off the computer if something in there is fried you will soon see it (all burnt and stuff) and it will probably smell

yeah i found the wire. it was the override switch wire for the radiator fan. . .i dont have a hex/star key thing to take the cover off the computer. but a sparkys coming arround tonight to have a look at it. i hope he can fix it. i get my license back on tuesday!:(

Do you still have power to that part of the loom, there are a couple of fuseable links on the heavier parts of the toyota loom's. Usually near the battery they are in case a short occurs before a fusebox and the one wire gets split to various things.
