The Bodge is for sale!!

Post by Bodge »

The Bodge is for sale!!

Ever since I bought a house the Bodging fund has diminished drastically - hence she has to go.

I am selling it complete to begin with if I can't get the money I want I will break it up myself. Even though I am selling it whole its value is really in parts.

She's been used- every panel has a ding of some description. This is NOT a minter.
Its de-registered.

The bits:
ARB rear locker
ARB compressor
5 of Simex JT2 34 X 10.5 X 15 [lots of tread left - only about 10-15% worn]
5 of 7 X 15 Alloy rims [with Simex's on them]
4 of BFG MT 285 X 75 X 16's [thats about 33 X 11.5]
Rangie Spares 2" body lift
Rangie Spares Snorkle
Rangie Spares Flares
Steering Guard - galvanised steel [english brand? ]
Rear Roll bar internal bolt in and out
Front and rear bars.
Gear reduction starter [new]
4.4 V8 P76 adapted to twin SU's - Running rough!
4 speed manual
Heavy Duty Radiator recently recored
Rangie spares rear springs
OME Front springs 18 mths old
Koni shocks

Call me on 021 446 400 to come and have a look and make an offer on the whole lot [looking for $4000].

No I don't want to swap it for a crapped out Suzuki

No I wouldnt swap it for a crapped out Suzuki either :? it would have to be a swap with a crapped out suzuki and you can pay a cash difference, then it would be a fair trade :thumright:

Shiet  End of an era..........
Tempting, but I just got rid of mine, and the missus doesnt want to see another rangie for a while (replaced it with a non-crap model Suzuki :D )
If you dont sell it whole, Im sure you will get heaps of takers on the parts....

The winch may be for sale but I have to discuss it with a shareholder. Will let you know if it comes up.

Sorry - wasn't I clear - this is for a life sized range rover not a kids toy. You could get your dad :bigsmurf: to fire up the rangie and take your "suzuki" to the local playground and meet up with all the other kids and their "suzukis" :smurf: .

Hi Bodge....

Out of curiousity.......do you have any idea what would be required to get this truck rego'ed and warranted again? And what part of the country are you in, and what would be the cost if the winch was included?

Cheers

I am not sure about the processing costs of re-registering - you would have to check with the LTSA. The only thing it would fail a warrant on to my knowledge is the rust in the sills and some marginal brake lines [rust] which were noted but not failed on its last warrant. Never had it quoted for given that I was sure it would be more than the zero $$ I had to spend on it.

I will see if the winch is available I haven't even talked to the major shareholder yet. The winch is modified for competition. It has been sealed with breathers, the drum is braced, and the brake has been modified to make it safer the clutch engage lever has been drilled for a split pin for safety.

And lastly - we couldn't be further apart - I am in Auckland.

Bugga.......lol.........from one end of hte country to the other. When you decide about the total cost and the winch.......let me know and I will look into transport costs...and make a decision about if it is exactly what I am looking for.
Do you still have the back seats for it?

Cheers

Not sure why you are so sensitive about rovers Lowbox... after all yours is pretty much all aftermarket parts - not much real Rover there...

Just looks like one - cos we all know what an aesthetic masterpiece the Defender is....
