Yeah, twas a year or so back when the truck still looked sorta new(ish) we did Hanmer to St Arnaud's. fan bloody- tastic.
Wanta do it going the other way, in Feb so we end up back at Hanmer for the obligatory soak.

you could hit dunedin then scoot up to clarks junction and head over the dunstan trail to alexandra up to cromwell over the nevis to garston i think it comes out then you could either scoot into queenstown for the night or head south towards invercargill from there
would recomend doing the dunstan trail though, it wont be a problem in a shiny as even a subaru would get over it. send me a email if you would like info on tracks around central or possible routes that not many people know of feel free.

hell i've driven the blluebird over part of it (up to great moss swamp) for a fishing weekend once so yeah should be all good for the korean beast
truckless and shall remain so till she who wears the pants says otherwise.................lol

yeh pretty easy good scenary as well, the track could be a bit rough if they dont grade it when it opens was starting to cut up a bit just before they closed it. but in a 4wd you will have no problems at all.

another option would be go over the 1st section of the dunstan then head over lake onslow road to roxburgh, from there you could either head south down to invercargil or head up into central further the possibilities are endless once you get down into the lower part of the south.
