Its a FOX remote reservoir shock, possibly even one of those long travel air or nitrogen pressurised ones which don't require springs and which probably even have a name.

Re: Something New
I can confirm that the light switch is in fact not straight, it is Mocana, the cups are from the Warehouse (but aren't new), the dishes need doing, the only thing hidden in the cupboard is empty bottles, the door handles are 2 years old, the pictured product does improve sexual performance (but reduces the need once the wife sees the bill
), the pictured product makes Viagra obsolete for someone with a 4x4 addiction and one is useless without the other three!

must be the door hinge then, coz one of them wouldn't work too well, but 4 would

It is a replacement for the old worn out rubber hose that is normally stored under the Sergeants desk.

Nothing a bit of time with the angle grinder on the bonnet wouldn't fix.

I'm having some discussions with the engineer to see what we can do. I'd like to have the same all round but 667mm closed length is a lot to fit under the bonnet as I'm not red neck enough to stick it through!!!
I only have to stick the motor through the firewall by about 150mm to make it fit as well!
See link below for what it is!

PS So what is the bet i can make it fit???????????
